This change represents a significant shift from the current CPU-only mining model toward a more flexible and efficient Proof of Work system that supports both CPU and GPU mining.
The introduction of GPU compatibility is expected to improve network decentralization by enabling broader participation and distributing hash power more effectively across the network.
The upgrade process includes integration of hoohash into the core codebase, followed by testnet deployment, miner and pool preparation, and eventual activation on mainnet.
No immediate changes will occur prior to the completion of testing and coordination.
