The PEPEPOW network is approaching the transition to the hoohash-pepew mining algorithm.
Based on the current network monitor, activation is expected in around 2 days, although the exact timing may still vary slightly depending on block production. Node operators and miners should begin preparing now.
### Network readiness
Around 75% of nodes on the network have already upgraded to the new version.
This is a strong signal that the network is moving steadily toward activation, but the remaining nodes should still upgrade as soon as possible to reduce fork risk and ensure a smoother transition.
### Miner preparation
Miners should prepare to switch to **HTN Miner**, which now supports PEPEPOW_HOOHASH.

At this stage, the recommended supported miner is HTN Miner.
For users on Linux, it can be used directly.
For Windows users, the currently documented path is via WSL.
Native Windows support or additional third-party miner support may come later as more options become available.
